Privacy Policy
Last updated October 30, 2026
Ownza helps you record the things you own, the properties they belong to, and their maintenance. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and password (stored hashed), or your Google sign-in identity.
- Content you add: items, properties, addresses, parcel numbers, prices, service records, notes, photos and documents.
- Sharing: email addresses of co-owners or family members you invite.
- Notifications: if you turn on iPhone notifications, a device notification token linked to your account.
We do not use your data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not track you across other apps or websites.
How it is used
- To store and show your records, and send maintenance reminders you enable.
- Photo, VIN and serial recognition: images or numbers you submit are sent to an AI service to suggest details. Results are shown for your review before saving.
- Address lookup uses Google Maps; property details import fetches public Zillow listing pages for the address you choose; VIN decoding uses the U.S. NHTSA public database.
- Push notifications are delivered through Apple and Google Firebase and contain only a generic reminder, not your item details.
Who can see it
Only you, and people you explicitly share with. Files are stored privately and shown through short-lived links.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account exists. You can export it as CSV and permanently delete your account and all data at any time in Settings → Delete account.
Children
Ownza is not directed to children under 13.
